I sent the email home: the progress reports are in the hands of your student, please ask them for the handout that explains their grade / progress in the Spanish one class. This was my first time handing out a SBG report to my students. So far so good!
Setting up the email groups and having the parent/ caregiver emails readily at hand (Thanks, Charlie!), has facilitated home school communication for me. I have used these lists for both my Spanish 1 and 3 classes. I included their HOL grade, separate but on the same report sent home. My current goal is to fine tune the report print out so that it best communicates their HOL and their subject grade (with formative and summative grades on there). This, I believe, will improve with my knowledge and increased familiarity of the jumprope software.
